Reflection

It was a great meeting with my group, we were 4 students, The chairman was Ahmed Suroor, where Ahmed Abdulkareem and Essa Tayeb were the participant and I was the secretary. Our meeting topic was the parking issues in HCT. Ahmed Suroor the chairman started the meeting by explaining the problem and then we discussed the topic with each other every member started to give his opinion about the problem. We discussed all the stuff with Mr. Headly, the supervisor of the subject, and he participated with us. I shared some of my thoughts about the topic because I was busy noting the minutes of the meeting and the chairman liked my work. We went through number of problems and discussed all the possible solutions for it. For example the problem of not having enough parking area for the students in the collage, one of the solutions was taking some of the empty area surrounding the collage and turning them into a parking space specially for students. I learnt a lot from this meeting and the good thing in this meeting is that Mr. Hedley was asking us questions to lead us to the main point. We concluded the meeting and what we decide that to help the students park easily and come to class earlier and to have more parking areas we have to work with our solutions and come up with a plan to execute them and turning them from words to reality and we ended the meeting with a smile and a handshake.

Insufficient parking spaces

Ahmed Suroor talked about the problems and solutions (he thinks that making wider spaces for the parking can help students come to the class early. Mohammed Ahmed said they have to erase some green places to provide parking. A lot of student’s comesto the college with ahuge cars, like GMC trucks, and these cars take a big space.

Illegal parking positions

Ahmed Suroor said the consequences should be taken to people who park illegally, like tickets and warnings. Eissa Tayib said we should have better security and better consequences.

Not enough space to park

Ahmed Suroor said we should remove some green areas to make wider parking spaces so more parking can be placed. Mohammed Ahmed said they have to erase some green places to provide parking. A lot of students come to the college with huge cars and this car takes a big space.

Very high pavements

Ahmed Suroor said the pavements are very high and they take a lot of space causing fewer parking spaces. Eissa Tayib said they should be removed and barriers should be placed to take less space.

Many oversized humps causing congestion

Ahmed Suroor said the humps are very unnecessary and oversized because it takes time going over them and some cars cannot go over them. Ahmed Abdulkareem said the humps cause the cars to flow slowly causing congestion.

No shade for the cars

Ahmed Abdulkareem said that shade for the cars is critical; because of the heat cars might break down and may get too hot to drive. Ahmed Suroor agreed and thinks the shade would be better for heat problems in the car.

Making better parking spaces would help in the studies of the students causing them to arrive to class on time; entering and exiting the parking would be easier and illegal parking would be banned and consequences will be provided; the humps would be reduced causing easier flow and better parking abilities.

In conclusion, we discussed with mister Headly an important issue it was parking’s in the college, after that we talked about the causes of the main problem and we put some solutions.

-we need wider parking

-its good if the college put for us shade for the cars

- The pavements are highs, we need a lower one

- The high humps is the most important problem for the college students

Interview report

The participant's name is Ghanem Matar Al – Hassani. Ghanem walked in dressed up neatly and confident of himself. The interview was in C001 at ADMC and he was interviewed by Mohammed Awad H00230922 and Khalfan Almuhairi H00255135 .

The interview started and Ghanem is 18 years old, took his bachelors degree of management from the  University of Manchester. He has 5 years experience as an event coordinator in Takatof.

Ghanem's voice was loud and clear and the way he was answering the questions and talking was really good and his language was perfect and had a good accent. He didn’t seem to be nervous or scared and he didn’t even stutter once. He was too confident which is a good thing and is a plus in any job interview. Ghanem was also well prepared for the interview.

Ghanem was answering the questions easily but found a small difficulty answering the "what are your greatest weaknesses?" question because he didn’t seem to find any weakness in himself. The easiest question to him was "where do you see yourself in three, six and ten years?" question because he answered with "I see myself in a good position". This shows confidence and him wanting to achieve his goal and more.

Ghanem will get the job after everything I mentioned above.
